Browse through the below steps to change your car oil at home.
Step 1: Park vehicle on level surface and supporting it with jack stands
Step 2: Open hood
Step 3: Locate oil drain plug, which is a long bolt head at bottom of pan
Step 4: Loosen drain plug using box-end wrench or 6-pt. socket
Step 5: Let the oil drain in the container it take 10 to 15 minutes
Step 6: Remove the old oil filter
Step 7: Installing the New Oil Filter
Step 8: Add new oil to the car at the fill hole
Step 9: Checking the Oil Level and then replace oil fill cap
Step 10: Start engine and run at idle for minimum of 30 seconds. Carefully inspect under vehicle for oil leaks
Step11: Shut off engine and allow 30 seconds for oil to settle in the engine
step12: Safely remove the jack stand
